As well as+动词ing+从句

1. as well as = not only……but also,意为“不但……而且……，既……又……”，如：

He's got a car as well as a motorbike.他不仅得到了一辆车还得到了一辆摩托车。

She's clever as well as beautiful。她既聪明又漂亮。

2.as well as 后面接动词，要用动词ing形式，如：

Smoking is dangerous,as well as making you smell bad.吸烟很危险，而且使你气味难闻。

As well as breaking his leg,he hurt his arm.他不仅摔了腿，还伤了胳膊。（NOT As well as he broke his leg……）

区别下面两个句子的不同：

She sings as well as playing the piano.(=She not only plays,but also sings.)她既会唱歌也会弹钢琴。

She sings as well as she plays the piano.(=Her singing is as good as her playing)她的唱歌像和弹钢琴一样好。

如果 as well as用作连词引出比较从句，其义为“和…一样好”。

注：as well as后接动词用动名词的情况主要见于主句谓语为简单时态(即一般现在时和一般过去时)的时候。
